Team History[edit]

1996-2008 logo

The Lowell Spinners began play in the New York-Penn League in 1996 after the Elmira Pioneers moved in and have been a Boston Red Sox farm club for their entire existence. They spent their first two seasons at Alumni Field and in 1998 moved into Edward LeLacheur Park.
