Biographical Information[edit]
Keiichi Inoue was drafted by the Toei Flyers in the 2nd round of the 1970 NPB draft, but he refused to sign. The Lotte Orions then picked him in the first round of the 1971 NPB draft, and he pitched 4 2/3 shutout innings in 1973. However, Inoue suffered from an elbow injury, and he missed the entire 1974 season. The Orions then traded him and Takenori Ikebe to the Hanshin Tigers for Kiyotake Suzuki, Osamu Uetsuji, Seiichi Ogawa, Hideo Hirayama and Masayoshi Moriyama. He announced his retirement in 1975.
