Biographical Information[edit]
Kei Tamura was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 6th round of the 1994 NPB draft, and he stayed in the minors in his first three seasons. Tamura was 9-for-41 in 1998, and he went 5-for-20 in 1999. He had a 2-for-19 record in 2000, and he announced his retirement in 2002. He later scouted for the Carp, signing Daichi Osera, Makoto Aduwa, Ryuhei Matsuyama, Tomohiro Abe, Takeru Imamura, Makoto Kemna, Takaya Toda, Sho Yamaguchi, Shota Nakazaki and Ryutaro Hatsuki.
