Biographical Information

Makoto Kemna has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kemna was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 5th round of the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Kei Tamura. He primarily stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons, and he only pitched one inning for the big club in 2019. Kemna then notched 11 holds with a 3.38 ERA in 41 games in 2020, and he pitched 40 games with a 4.58 ERA and 12 holds in 2021. He extended his solid performance in 2022, and he recorded a 3.20 ERA in 43 relief outings with 14 holds. He had a 3.71 ERA in 24 games in 2023, then he suffered from a right elbow injury in 2024 so he only pitched 5 games for the top team. Kenma struggled again in 2025, and he didn't reach the big club that season.
