Biographical Information[edit]
Kaito Yoshikawa represented Japan in the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He batted .412/.450/.588 for the champs, finishing second to Edgardo Villegas in average, 5th in slugging and tied for 3rd in doubles (2). Villegas, Xudong Zhu and Jean Henao made the All-Star outfield instead. [1] He played for Hitachi in the Industrial League, and he was on Japan's roster in the 2025 Asian Championship.[2] He debuted against the Philippines, and he hit a double against Francis Gonzaga. He then hit a triple against Hasnain Jan of Pakistan, but he went 0-for-1 in each of two games versus South Korea and Chinese Taipei. Japan beat Taiwan to win the Gold. [3]
