Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Kaelen Culpepper was the 21st overall pick of the 2024 amateur draft, taken by the Minnesota Twins out of Kansas State University. In his junior season at Kansas State, he hit .328 with 11 homers and 51 RBIs in 61 games. He also starred in various summer collegiate leagues during his time there.

After signing with the Twins, he played 26 games between the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels of the Florida State League and the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Midwest League in 2024. He hit .242 with 3 homers and 12 RBIs. In 2025 he played 54 games for Cedar rapids before a mid-season promotion to the Wichita Wind Surge of the AA Texas League, which coincided with his being named to play for the American League at the 2025 Futures Game. In all, he played 113 games that season, batting .289/.375/.469 with 20 homers and 69 RBIs. Defensively, he played mainly shortstop even though he had been a third baseman in his first two college seasons. Following the season, he was named a Texas League post-season All-Star.
