Biographical Information[edit]

Jordan Geber has reached AAA despite being an undrafted free agent. He also has been on the Israeli national team.

He was a competitive swimmer in addition to playing baseball in high school. He was 2-1 with two saves and a 5.17 ERA as a college freshman then had a 2-2, 7.17 record in 2019. In the COVID-19-shortened 2020, he went 0-2 with a 5.25 ERA. He had a 2-3, 3.88 record and 68 K in 60 1/3 IP for Mount St. Mary's in '21, leading the Northeast Conference with five pick-offs and finishing 7th in ERA and 2nd in opponent average (.210). [1] Going on to graduate school at Virginia Tech, he went 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA and 40 strikeouts to 9 walks in 35 innings.

Signed by New York Mets scout Jaymie Bane [2], he appeared for the St. Lucie Mets (1-0, 5.00 in 6 G) and Binghamton Rumble Ponies (0-1, 3 R in 2 IP) that summer. In 2023, he bounced between four stops in the Mets chain, including throwing 18 shutout innings for AA Binghamton, going 2-0. He had a 5-2, 4.21 record overall. Sent to the Arizona Fall League, he went 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA for the Glendale Desert Dogs. In 2024, he pitched for the Brooklyn Cyclones (1-0, 2.25 in 4 G), Binghamton (4-6, 4.15 in 17 G) and the Syracuse Mets (0-2, 4.26 in 4 G).

Geber spent 2025 again with Binghamton (1-0, 1.17 in 13 G) and Syracuse (Sv, 8.03 in 7 G), with several stays on the Development List. He allowed 3 runs in 4 innings for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the AFL. He then joined Israel for the 2026 World Baseball Classic (the team was almost entirely American, with Assaf Lowengart the lone Israeli-born player). He made one appearance, in their 11-3 loss to Venezuela, and was their second-best hurler that day. Relieving Charlie Beilenson in the 3rd with a 4-0 deficit, he retired three-time batting champ Luis Arráez. Five-time Silver Slugger Salvador Pérez reached on an error then the undrafted hurler got two-time All-Star Eugenio Suárez and struck out Wilyer Abreu, who was fresh off a 22-homer season. He only allowed one hit in the 4th, which he ended by retiring former MVP Ronald Acuña Jr. After Israel scored in the top of the 5th, Geber struck out Maikel García but Arráez homered. Geber retired Pérez, walked Suárez and got Abreu to end the inning. Only Dean Kremer and Beilenson pitched more innings for Israel in the tourney. [3]
