Biographical Information

Jordan Berge played for the USA national baseball team and in the minor leagues.

Berge was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 23rd round of the 1979 Amateur Draft out of high school, but he didn't sign and went to college. He was an All-Star outfielder in the 1982 Amateur World Series, joined by Shih-Chiang Chao and Doug McPhail. The Cincinnati Reds picked him in the 27th round of the 1983 Amateur Draft, and he hit .326/.371/.470 in 53 games for the Eugene Emeralds in 1983. Berge then collected 23 doubles with a .253/.354/.350 batting line in 128 games for the Cedar Rapids Reds in 1984, and he crushed 7 homers with a .289/.371/.388 batting line for the Tampa Tarpons in 1985. He also went 5-for-12 with the AA Vermont Reds in 1985, and his batting line was .260/.353/.366 in 101 games there in 1986. That was his last season as a professional player.
