Biographical Information[edit]

Doug McPhail, a Manitoba native, played college ball in the US. He then was with Team Canada for a number of international tournaments. He was an All-Star outfielder in the 1982 Amateur World Series, joined by Shih-Chiang Chao and Jordan Berge. His 17 hits tied Chao and Charles Urbanus Jr. for the Series lead. He also played in the 1983 Intercontinental Cup, 1983 Pan American Games, 1984 Olympics and 1985 Intercontinental Cup.
