Biographical Information[edit]
Hyun-jun Ryu has played in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Ryu was drafted by the Doosan Bears in the 10th round of the 2024 KBO draft, and he represented South Korea in the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He was 4 for 8 with a double, walk, HBP, two runs and a RBI. [1] He played 2 games for the top team in 2024, and he was 3-for-22 in 2025.[2] He was with the South Korean national team in the 2025 Asian Championship. Ryu was 3-for-4 against Hong Kong, and he was 1-for-3 versus Chinese Taipei. He had a 1-for-3 record against Palestine, and he went 1-for-4 versus China. Lee went 1-for-4 with a game-winning RBI single against Shota Masui of Japan, and he was their starting catcher in the Bronze Medal game. He was 2-for-3 with a RBI, and Korea beat China to won Bronze. [3]
