Even though Gonzaga University joined the West Coast Conference in 1979, the school competed in Pacific-10 Conference in baseball only for many years. The school has sponsored baseball through 1928 and 1947-present. In 2006, Gonzaga turned two triple plays in a game against Washington State University, the first NCAA Division I team to pull off the feat.
