Biographical Information[edit]
Daniel Bielski played for the USA national baseball team and in the minor leagues.
Bielski was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 7th round of the 1969 Amateur Draft, but he didn't sign. He represented the USA in the 1969 Amateur World Series, winning a Silver Medal. The San Diego Padres picked him in the first round of the 1970 Amateur Draft secondary phase, and he was 4-13 with a 4.35 ERA for the Lodi Padres in 1970. He was 3rd in losses in the California League (after Jesse Jefferson and Marvin Sherzer), and he also pitched 4 games with a 7.80 ERA for the Salt Lake City Bees. Bielski was 8-8 with a 4.88 ERA in Lodi in 1971, and his professional career ended.
