Dai-An Lin has caught in the CPBL. His brother Chia-Feng Lin and cousin Tzu-Wei Lin have played pro ball, Tzu-Wei Lin in the majors. 
Lin hit .250/.300/.357 and fielded .983 for the Taiwanese team that won the 2010 World Junior Championship, with six RBI in seven games.  He was on Taiwan's squad in the 2014 Haarlem Baseball Week and was the All-Star catcher in the 2014 U-21 Baseball World Cup.  He also was in the 2015 Universiade. 
He was a 4th-round pick of the Uni-President Lions in the 2015 CPBL draft.  His first CPBL hit was off César Valdéz.  He hit .283/.295/.317 in 20 games in the 2015 CPBL and .301/.325/.425 in 120 plate appearances over 51 games in 2016, backing up Chih-Kang Kao. His first CPBL homer was against Scott Richmond.  He slipped to .222/.267/.283 in 108 PA in 2017 and .193/.203/.281 in 62 PA in 2018. He caught Ryan Verdugo's perfect game, the first CPBL perfecto. 
Becoming a starter in 2019, he hit .259/.295/.326 but dazzled on defense - he threw out 36 of 68 would-be base-stealers (53%) and fielded .995. He won the Gold Glove.  He was at .246/.290/.392 in 2020 and fielded .993, but threw out 26%. In 2021, he batted .276/.345/.343, fielded .996 and threw out 32%. He won his second Gold Glove and made the Best Ten as the top overall catcher in the league.  In 2022, he eked out a .224/.277/.274 line and threw out 28%, fielding .985. He still made Taiwan's roster for the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
