Biographical Information[edit]

Curt Hasler has been a pitching coach for 30 seasons (through 2021).

Hasler was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 21st round of the 1987 amateur draft and would spend over 20 years in their organization. As a rookie, he was 4-3 with a 2.55 ERA for the GCL White Sox. He went 7-11 with a 3.44 ERA for the 1988 South Bend White Sox. The big right-hander led the Midwest League in both hits allowed (206) and hit batsmen (19). In 1989, he improved to 14-8, 3.39 for the Sarasota White Sox, with only 32 walks in 164 2/3 IP. He led the Florida State League with 19 hit batsmen but was only two wins shy of leader Wally Trice. For the 1990 Birmingham Barons, Curt had a 9-6, 3.26 mark. He got into 11 games for the 1991 Vancouver Canadians (0-2, 7.81, 44 H, 24 BB in 27 2/3 IP) before finishing the year as a coach back with Sarasota.

Hasler's son, Drew Hasler, has also pitched in the minor leagues [1].

In 2017, he was named bullpen coach of the Chicago White Sox, replacing Bobby Thigpen. In 2018 his title changed to assistant pitching coach though it appears he functioned as a bullpen coach in that first year. He kept the title of assistant pitching coach through 2020. His title reverted back to bullpen coach for the 2021-2023 seasons, after which he was let go.
