Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Buddy Peterson played several seasons in the Pacific Coast League and was known for his hustle. He had cups of coffee in the majors with the Chicago White Sox in 1955 and the Baltimore Orioles in 1957. Peterson played in the Pacific Coast League through 1960, then spent three years playing in Nippon Pro Baseball.
After his playing days, Peterson was an Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics (1973-1974) scout.
Peterson died at age 81 from stroke complications.
