Biographical Information

Brian Lawrence was the first history in the history of the San Diego Padres to throw an immaculate inning. It came on June 12, 2002 against the Baltimore Orioles. It would take until 2025 for another Padres pitcher to accomplish the feat, when Mason Miller did so.

Following the 2005 season, he was traded by San Diego to the Washington Nationals for third baseman Vinny Castilla. He missed all of 2006 due to a torn labrum and torn rotator cuff.

Lawrence was pitching coach of the Normal CornBelters in 2012, Lake Elsinore Storm in 2013, Boise Hawks in 2014, South Bend Cubs in 2015, Eugene Emeralds in 2016, South Bend again in 2017-2018, and Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2019.
