Biographical Information[edit]

Brandon Gomes was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 17th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Bob Filotei and made his pro debut that summer.

In 2017, Gomes joined the Los Angeles Dodgers organization as pitching coordinator, performance, after having been released by the Iowa Cubs in 2016, ending his playing career. He had known team president Andrew Friedman from their days together in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. In 2018, he was named Director of Player Development, replacing Gabe Kapler who had left the job to become the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies.
