Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Blake Drake was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 22nd round of the 2011 amateur draft (signed by scout Mike Shirley), a couple picks after pitcher Aaron Nola, and spent one season in their system. He went 3-2 with a 4.39 ERA in 17 relief appearances for the Great Falls Voyagers. He joined the independent ranks in 2012, going 0-0 with a 18.00 ERA in 6 relief appearances for the Rockford RiverHawks of the Frontier League.

On August 18, 2011, he participated in a combined no-hitter against the Casper Ghosts. Scott Snodgress started the game, was relieved by Drake, who was then relieved by Joe Dvorsky. The Voyagers won 4-0.

Overall, he went 3-2 with a 6.16 ERA in 23 relief appearances. He had 21 walks to just 18 strikeouts.
