Biographical Information[edit]

Biggs Wehde appeared in 12 games for the 1930-31 Chicago White Sox managed by Donie Bush.

Wehde was born in Holstein, IA, in western Iowa about 440 miles from Chicago. He played for Dubuque in 1929-30, coming up in September 1930 for four games with the White Sox. He was the same age as the young shortstop Luke Appling, while pitcher Ted Lyons was six years older.

In 1931 Biggs was in 8 more games with the White Sox, and also spent time in the minors with Dallas and Minneapolis.

He played for other minor league teams after that, finishing up in 1942.
