2026 European Cup
The 2026 European Cup was held in June 2026 in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria.

- Rättvik Butchers 18, Dornbirn Indians 0. Sam Börjes and Pontus Ununger combine on a two-hitter and four Butchers score at least 3 runs, including CF Joel Johnson, who also drives in four. 3B Yanik Maser and LF Ferdinand Obed get the lone hits for Dornbirn, while former minor leaguer José Malavé was roughed up in the five-inning mercy rule loss.
- Therwil Flyers 12, Borgerhout Squirrels 1. RF Drew Creeden was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI and veteran 1B Sven Leemann drove in five to back the strong pitching of Ferlon Gijsbertha, who fanned 13 in 7 innings. 2B Sander de Saedeleer had 3 hits in a losing cause, the decision going to Australian Taliesen Tardrew-O'Meara.
- Wiener Neustadt Diving Ducks 16, Sundbyberg Heat 11. The hosts did much better than the other Austrian team today, rallying from a 9-4 deficit to win. 3B Moritz Scheicher fell a triple shy of a cycle, scoring four and driving in five and Rick van Dijck got the win over Bryan Estati. 1B/P Estati did lead Sundbyberg with 3 hits.
June 2[edit]
- Kranjski Lisjaki 15, London Mets 1. The Slovenians started off strong as Alejandro Requena and 3 relievers strike out 18 while they get runs and RBI from all 9 spots of the batting order. 1B Conner Brown and LF Mike Banagale get the only hits for London, with Chris St. Pierre taking the defeat.
- Dornbirn Indians 9, Therwil Flyers 1. In a reversal of day-one fortunes for both times, veteran Ryan Rupp fans 10 in a two-hitter and 2B Michel Jager drives in four. 3B/2B Chris Horne has both hits for Therwil and Shuhei Iwasaki gets the loss.
- Rättvik Butchers 14, Borgerhout Squirrels 7. The Swedes go to 2-0 as brothers Joel Johnson, Daniel Johnson and Ben Johnson combine for 9 hits, 9 runs and 9 RBI and Ben saves the win for Joel. SS Tim Veraghtert and RF Timen van Geel each have 3 hits for the Belgian entry. Matas Sirgėdas is the losing hurler.
June 3[edit]
- Sundbyberg Heat 15, London Mets 12. 3B Bryan Estati homers twice as the Heat win a slugfest after losing one two days prior. London SS Quin Cotton goes deep three times.
- Dornbirn Indians 11, Borgerhout Squirrels 4. CF/P Chris Squires has four hits (all for extra bases), LF/CF Ferdinand Obed homers twice and Josh Topper beats Bryan Otto. 1B Sam Boermans drives in 3 for the Squirrels.
- Kranjski Lisjaki 22, Wiener Neustadt Diving Ducks 12. The hosts get rocked by Lisjaki. 3B Dariel Rodríguez drives in 5 and 1B Kasey Caras scores four to lead an explosive attack, benefiting winning hurler Žan Primožič. C Elias Kreska goes 4 for 4 (two doubles, a homer) with 3 runs and 3 RBI for the Diving Ducks, Klaus Scheicher taking the loss after yielding six runs (four earned) in one inning. The Slovenian entry bangs out 23 hits.
June 4[edit]
- Therwil Flyers 5, Rättvik Butchers 4. Therwil's win leaves both teams at 2-1, tied with Dornbirn atop Group B at the end of the round-robin, necessitating tie-breaker rules. CF Joel Johnson remains hot with two homers but it's not enough as Therwil scores the winner in the bottom of the 10th when P Hide Oshima's sac fly off Pontus Ununger brings in CF Nick Siemers with the winner. RF Drew Creeden goes 4-for-5 with 3 RBI for Therwil.
- Kranjski Lisjaki 20, Sundbyberg Heat 3. Lisjaki continues to dominate, catcher Dariel Rodríguez again driving in 5 and 5 players each scoring three runs in a five-inning mercy rule rout. Rubén Menes defeats Moisses Pargas. 3B/P Bryan Estati continues to play well for Sundbyberg, homering again.
- London Mets 6, Wiener Neustadt Diving Ducks 0. London tops the hosts, making it a three-way tie for second in Group A; the Diving Ducks then lose the tiebreaker to move on to the semifinals. P/RF Matteo Sollecito allows 3 hits in 5 shutout innings and has 3 hits of his own while Joe Cosgrove turns in four shutout frames to wrap it up. C Elias Kreska gets two hits for Wiener Neustadt, Vitus Gneist taking the decision.
June 5[edit]
- Borgerhout Squirrels 23, Sundbyberg Heat 21. The last winless team survives a brutal 7th/8th place game to avoid last place and a winless tourney. Sundbyberg scores in every inning but it's not enough in a slugfest that featured 45 hits, 16 walks and 7 errors. Jackson Longhofer saves it for Glenn Mareels, who gets the win despite giving up 10 runs (7 earned) in 3 2/3 IP. Among the Squirrels' offensive stars are LF/3B Matas Sirgėdas (4 R), DH Cedric Vandesompele (4 RBI), RF/LF Matthias Group (4 RBI), 1B Sam Boermans (2 HR, 4 RBI) and SS/C Nils Imbert (4 H). The loss goes to Jonas Sjölund, though he drives in six and has four hits.
- Kranjski Lisjaki 8, Therwil Flyers 2. 1B Kasey Caras and CF Kilian Bloat each have 3 hits as the Slovenian entry moves into the finale, while LF Žan Primožič scores three times. Alejandro Requena allows one run in four then AAA veteran Johan Belisario fans 7 in 3 shutout innings. For the Swiss team, SS/P Taka Oshima homers and drives in both runs while Ferlon Gijsbertha gets the loss.
- Rättvik Butchers 9, London Mets 5. The Swedish team will meet Slovenia in the finale with today's win. CF/P Joel Johnson gets the win and collects 3 hits, beating Ryan McLaughlin. LF Matteo Sollecito goes 3-for-3 for the Mets.
June 6[edit]
- Wiener Neustadt Diving Ducks 11, Dornbirn Indians 3. The two Austrian entries square off in the 5th/6th place game and the hosts fall behind 3-1 after 4 1/2 before scoring 10 unanswered runs. Klaus Scheicher throws four hitless innings of relief for the win and SS Moritz Astner goes 3-for-3 with 3 runs and 4 RBI from the 9 spot. Veteran Jochen Pfister gets the loss.
- Therwil Flyers 11, London Mets 5. In the Bronze Medal Game, 3B Chris Horne has four hits and both Horne and 1B Hide Oshima score 3 times; Oshima also is the winning pitcher with Rafael Eigenmann saving it for him. 1B Joe Cosgrove was 5-for-5 for London, with the decision going to Mike Banagale.
- Kranjski Lisjaki 5, Rättvik Butchers 1. Lisjaki finishes their dominant run through the tourney in the title game. Johan Belisario and Christian Sumoza strike out 13, SS Yohander Gonzalez getting 3 hits from the bottom of the batting order to lead their support. C Oskar Jerfsten drives in the only run for the Swedish entry, with the loss going to Ben Johnson. Had the Butchers won, Swedish teams would've placed both first and last!
Lisjaki's C/OF Ricardo Meléndez was named MVP after hitting .318/.423/.364.
