July 30, 1986: Traded by the Chicago White Sox with Ron Kittle and Wayne Tolleson to the New York Yankees for a player to be named later, Ron Hassey and Carlos Martinez. The New York Yankees sent Bill Lindsey (December 24, 1986) to the Chicago White Sox to complete the trade.

March 19, 1989: Traded by the New York Yankees with Turner Ward to the Cleveland Indians for Mel Hall.
