December 14, 1956: Sent by the Chicago Cubs to the New York Yankees to complete an earlier deal made on December 11, 1956. The Chicago Cubs sent a player to be named later to the New York Yankees for Charlie Silvera and cash and another player to be named.

December 2, 1957: Drafted by the Kansas City Athletics from the New York Yankees in the 1957 rule 5 draft.

July 26, 1960: Purchased by the Detroit Tigers from the Kansas City Athletics.

July 21, 1961: Traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Baltimore Orioles for Frank House.

November 16, 1961: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Art Kay (minors) and Ray Barker to the Cleveland Indians for Johnny Temple.
