Dell Chambers was a shortstop who played in the minor leagues in 1966 and 1967 after attending Meramec Junior College. He led the Western Carolina League in Walks (80) and HBP (9), giving him a season of (.325/.501/.456/.957). He was an Army PFC, Serial No. 67170023. He was killed at age 20 in a rocket attack at Danang, Vietnam and is buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis MO. His name is recorded on the Vietnam Wall in Washington DC.
