The Bryan Majors were a minor league team despite the name. They were outscored 712-617 overall and drew 30,051 fans as the Greenville Majors/Bryan Majors in 1953. The bright spots were two pitchers. Victor Stryska (9-5, 1.49) had the lowest ERA of any league pitcher to work 45 or more innings while Jodie Phipps (16-8, 2.19) won the ERA crown. The team ERA overall, though, was 4.12, 5th in the loop.
