Biographical Information

Yuta Matsukihira had pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Matsukihira was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 3rd round of the development phase in the 2020 NPB draft, and he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He was 10-3 with a 1.76 ERA there, and he led the Western League in wins (tied with Jun Maeda). Matsukihira was also 2nd in ERA (.016 behind Mizuki Miura) and 9th in strikeouts (between Kazuma Sato and Yusei Nishihama). He started 8 games for the big club, and he was 2-4 with a 3.70 ERA.
