Biographical Information[edit]
Yahya Hasan and his twin brother Salik Hasan were late additions to the Pakistani national team for the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, when they were 16 years old. [1] He got one at-bat; right after his brother pinch-hit, he hit for Sami Khan and ended their 12-0 loss to Nicaragua, grounding back to pitcher Roniel Raudes. [2] He then played for Pakistan in the 2025 Asian Championship. He was 0-for-3 against China as their starting designated batter, and he walked two batters (Yuki Sato and Shinnosuke Nishimura) after he relieved Hasnain Jan against Japan. Jan had a 0-for-1 record against the Philippines as the pinch-hitter for Hussain Hussain, and he was 2-for-2 versus Hong Kong, with a RBI single against Yu-Hin Oscar Cheng. He was Pakistan's starting DH against Palestine, and he was hitless in 2 at-bats in their last game. [3]
