Biographical Information[edit]

Will Cresswell has played in the minors and for the Great Britain national team.

He hit .132/.333/.132 as a college freshman then improved to .194/.308/.408 as a sophomore. After batting .242/.337/.286 as a junior, he posted a .329/.404/.523 batting line with 43 RBI in 43 games his senior year. He was named second-team All-Mountain West Conference and threw out a MWC-leading 19 would-be base-stealers. [1] The Toronto Blue Jays picked him in the 18th round of the 2025 amateur draft. Assigned to the Dunedin Blue Jays, he was 5 for 25 with a walk and a double over the rest of the summer. He then played for Britain in the 2025 European Championship, starting at catcher in every game. Hitting third in their opener, he grounded out against the Netherlands' Tom de Blok his first time up. Later that day, he had a single off Lars Huijer to drive in Nick Ward. He finished the tourney 2-for-24 with two runs, three RBI, three walks, 13 strikeouts and two sac flies. He handled 65 chances error-free and no one tried to steal on him. He led the Euros in Ks (one ahead of Assaf Lowengart), sacrifice flies and fielding percentage (the next 1.000 were Alberto Mineo and Gabriel Lino with 47 chances apiece) while only Hendrik Clementina had more putouts than his 62.
