Biographical Information[edit]
Warren Hughes has been a scout for the Chicago White Sox starting in 1987, signing Tim Anderson, Tim Elko, Michael Johnson, Ray Liotta, Jared Mitchell, Konnor Pilkington and Ehren Wassermann.
Hughes played for the Australian national team in the 1982 Amateur World Series. He went to the US for college. Undrafted, he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals and was 2-2 with a 5.27 ERA in 11 games (5 starts) for the 1985 Johnson City Cardinals, with 27 strikeouts, 12 walks and 50 hits in 42 2/3 innings.
Warren also helped lead the Gulf Coast All-Stars on a deep run in the 1988 NBC World Series in Wichita, KS.
