Biographical Information

Troy Tallman played in the minor leagues and for the USA national baseball team.

Tallman played for the USA in the 1988 World Junior Championship. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 36th round of the 1988 Amateur Draft, but he didn't sign and went to college. He then represented the USA in the 1990 Baseball World Cup and 1990 Goodwill Games. The Baltimore Orioles picked him in the 19th round of the 1991 Amateur Draft, and he went 2-for-41 with the Frederick Keys and 2-for-16 with the Kane County Cougars. Tallman then hit .175/.300/.317 in 75 games for the Cougars in 1992, and he had a 5-for-26 record with the Hagerstown Suns. He struggled again as his batting line was .189/.289/.301 in 55 games for the Keys in 1993, and his professional career ended.
