Biographical Information

Towa Uema has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Uema played for the Tokushima Indigo Socks in 2019, and he was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 7th round of the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Takahiro Suzuki. He was 1-1 with a 6.33 ERA in 2021. He did very well in the minor Eastern League that year at 7-3, 1.58. He was 11 2/3 IP shy of qualifying for the ERA lead or he would've beaten out Tsubasa Nabatame by .72. He also tied Shoma Sato and Yoshinao Kamata for 4th in wins. He stayed in the EL in the next four seasons.
