Biographical Information[edit]

Tsubasa Nabatame has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nabatame was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 3rd round of the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Manabu Iwadate. [1] He was 4-4 with a 3.88 ERA in 2019 in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he also pitched 4 games with a 7.88 ERA for the top team. Nabatame then recorded a 3.86 ERA in 26 relief outings there in 2020, but he surrendered 6 runs in 6 innings with the top team. He extended his solid performance in the minors in 2021 as he went 4-6 with a 2.30 ERA, and he won the ERA title of the Eastern League, .02 ahead of Keisuke Hondo. [2] He also started a game with the top team, and he completed 6 innings with only a run allowed.

The Ibaraki native had a 4.34 ERA in 9 games on the farm in 2022, and he pitched 2 games for the big club. Nabatame then had a 0.94 ERA in 13 relief outings in 2023, and his ERA was 2.16 in 5 games in the major team. He finally won a regular place on the top team in 2024, and he notched 9 holds with a 3.89 ERA in 14 appearances. He collected 6 holds with a 2.30 ERA in 25 games in 2025, but he missed most of the season due to a right foot injury.
