Biographical Information[edit]
Teruo Suzuki was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 11th round of the 1971 NPB draft, but he only played one game before the The Tigers traded him with Yutaka Saotome to the Taiheiyo Club Lions for Shinnosuke Kataoka and Hirokazu Kato in 1975. He collected 11 runs in 53 games mainly as a pinch-runner in 1976, and he went 1-for-3 in 14 games in 1977. Suzuki played 28 games with a 1-for-19 record in 1978, and he announced his retirement. He had 27 plate appearances in his 96 games, scoring 15 times. He later became a scout, signing Tomoyoshi Oishi, Kazuhiro Kiyohara, Tetsuya Kakiuchi, Kazuhiro Wada, Kazuo Matsui, Hiroyuki Nakajima, Takeya Nakamura, Takumi Kuriyama and Ginjiro Sumitani.
