Biographical Information

Takumi Yamamoto has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Yamamoto was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 6th round of the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Akira Yonemura. He spent his first season in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he only got 9 appearances in each of the next three seasons. He pitched 30 games with a 3.60 ERA in 2022, but his ERA rose to 5.54 in 14 games in 2023 before the Dragons traded him with Yuya Gunji to the Nippon Ham Fighters for Shingo Usami and Koki Saito. Yamamoto had a solid 1.50 ERA in 26 appearances in the rest of the season, and he extended his solid performance in 2024 as his ERA was 1.82 in 36 relief outings.
