Taiga Kojima has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Kojima represented Japan in the 2024 Haarlem Baseball Week, batting .462/.467/.731 with 10 RBI in 7 games as Japan beat the US for the title; he fielded .974 and allowed one steal in one try. He tied Kengo Yanagidate for the batting lead, led in slugging (.017 ahead of Ayuto Matsushita), was 5th in OBP, tied Yanagidate for the hit lead (12) and led in RBI (3 ahead of Jake Munroe). He won the Jacques Reuvers Award as the MVP, an award that in the past had gone to Roger Bernadina, Chris Sabo, Matt Stairs, Alex Bregman, Ryan Jackson, Yuli Gurriel and Bobby Crosby. He was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the first round of the 2025 NPB draft; the scout was Masahiro Abe. He made his NPB debut on March 27, 2026 against the Chiba Lotte Marines, and he crushed his first career homer against Taito Takashima on March 31. Kojima tied the NPB record with 3 passed balls in a game on April 1.
