Biographical Information

Shoma Sato was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 4th round of the development phase in the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Yoichi Fukuzawa. He was 7-5 with a 3.50 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2021, tying Towa Uema and Yoshinao Kamata for 4th in the Eastern League in wins. He went 2-6 with a 2.86 ERA in 2022. Sato also pitched 11 games for the big club, and he had a 2-6 record with a 4.64 ERA. He was 1-6 with a 4.68 ERA in the minors in 2023, and he announced his retirement.
