Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Shayne Moody played in the Atlanta Braves system from 2008 to 2010. He was taken by the club in the 24th round of the 2008 amateur draft and was signed by scout Billy Best. Prior to playing professionally, he was named the 2007 Atlantic-10 Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player, also making the All-Tournament team.

With the Danville Braves in 2008, he hit .272/.344/.329 with no home runs and 15 RBI in 58 games. In 2009, he hit .262/.320/.302 with 1 home run, 28 RBI and 11 steals in 84 games for the Rome Braves. With the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2010, he hit .241/.298/.299 with 1 home run and 9 RBI in 23 games. He was released May 26, 2010.

Overall, he hit .263/.326/.312 with 2 home runs, 52 RBI and 11 steals in 165 games.
