Biographical Information[edit]
The Toronto Blue Jays drafted Seth Conner in the 41st round of the 2010 Amateur Draft out of high school and he played in their minor league system from 2011-2014. Defensively, Conner split his time between the corner infield positions and catching.
Conner began his coaching career in 2015 as a player/assistant hitting coach with the Dunedin Blue Jays before assuming the same position with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in early July. He did not appear in any games that season. Conner returned to the Fisher Cats in 2016 in the same role and played in two games.
After being away from baseball in 2017, Conner was a coach for the Great Lakes Loons in 2018 and hitting coach for the Ogden Raptors in 2019. He was scheduled to coach hitters for the Loons in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic caused the minor league season to be cancelled. Conner moved to the Minnesota Twins organization in 2021 as a hitting coach for the FCL Twins.
In 2022, Conner reached the major leagues for the first tine when the Texas Rangers hired him as an assistant hitting coach. He helped the Rangers win the 2023 World Series and continued in this role through the 2025 season.
