Biographical Information

Pitcher Sean Sullivan was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2nd round of the 2023 amateur draft from Wake Forest University. In his final year there, he set a school record for most strikeouts per 9 innings for a starting pitcher, with 111 Ks in 69 2/3 innings, and played in the 2023 College World Series. Before that, he had played for Northwestern University in 2022.

He was named the Northwest League Pitcher of the Year in 2024 when he went 7-2, 2.16 in 14 starts for the Spokane Indians. He finished that season in AA with the Hartford Yard Goats. He went 9-6, 3.14 in 18 starts for Hartford in 2025, then started 2026 in AAA with the Albuquerque Isotopes. He was 5-3, 5.60 after 11 starts when he was called up to Colorado to make his major league debut on June 12st. Starting against The Athletics at Las Vegas Ballpark, he gave up 2 hits and no runs in 3 innings and was not involved in the decision.
