Biographical Information[edit]
Ryuji Yanoda has pitched for the Japanese national team.
Yanoda played for Subaru in the industrial leagues after college, and he represented Japan in the 2025 Asian Championship. He started against Pakistan, but was less effective due to heavy rain so he surrendered a pair of RBI singles to Iyad Ansari and Muhammad Rehan in the first inning. He then relieved Shota Masui against South Korea, and he completed a shutout inning with 2 Ks (versus Hyun-jun Ryu and Tong-keon Yeo). Japan beat Taiwan to win Gold.[1] His father Mitsuhiko Yanoda also pitched for the Japanese national team.
