Biographical Information

Ryotaro Mori has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Mori was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 2nd round of the development phase in the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Masafumi Yamamori. He spent his first four seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he was 10-5 with a 3.20 ERA there in 2021. Mori led the Eastern League in wins, and he was 4th in ERA (between Yoshinao Kamata and Koichi Takada) and 2nd in strikeouts (8 behind Takada). Mori allowed 9 runs in 8 innings for the big club in 2022, and he went 1-4 with a 6.00 ERA in 2023. He also pitched 2 games with a 2.70 ERA for the Sydney Blue Sox in the 2023-2024 ABL. However, Mori underwent Tommy John surgery, and he missed the entire 2024 season.
