Biographical Information[edit]
Richard Wieligman played in the minor leagues and in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Wieligman hit .276/.369/.337 with 19 steals for the Miami Marlins in 1986, and he signed with the Detroit Tigers. He played 103 games with a .281/.382/.397 batting line in 1987, and he recorded a .235/.328/.345 batting line with the Glens Falls Tigers in 1988. Wiekigman also played 6 games with the AAA Toledo Mud Hens, but he only got one hit in 20 at-bats. He then hit .286/.366/.424 in 120 games in Toledo in 1989, and the Hanshin Tigers signed him. He was 9-for-47 in 1990, and his professional career ended.
