Paterson, NJ

From BR Bullpen

Paterson is located in northeastern New Jersey, north of Clifton, NJ and 10 miles west of New York City and the borough of the Bronx.

Hinchliffe Stadium, which was home to the New York Black Yankees and the New York Cubans of the Negro Leagues, was designated a national historic landmark by the National Park Service in 2014; it was the first facility dedicated solely to baseball to receive the coveted designation. After extensive renovations, it re-opened as the home of the New Jersey Jackals of the Frontier League in 2023. Another landmark is the ball field of Eastside High School, which is named for its most famous alumnus, Larry Doby; it was also the object of a major renovation project in 2024-2025.
