Biographical Information

Naru Katsuda has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Katsuda represented Japan in the 2024 Haarlem Baseball Week (going 0 for 3 with a walk, run and RBI for the champs), and he was drafted by the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in the 3rd round of the 2025 NPB draft; the scout was Tomoya Sayashi. He made his NPB debut on March 27, 2026 against the Chunichi Dragons, and he got his first hit against Akiyoshi Katsuno. It was a walk-off single in the 10th inning, and Katsuda became the first Central League rookie to get a walk-off hit on Opening Day.
