Mike Fischer pitched in the minors and for the USA national baseball team.

Fischer represented the USA in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup. The Los Angeles Dodgers picked him in the 2nd round of the 1998 Amateur Draft, and he was 1-3 with a 4.56 ERA for the San Bernardino Stampede in his first season. Fischer went 1-0 with a 4.91 ERA in 1999, and he had a 2-2 record with a 3.97 ERA in 2000. He then notched 2 saves with a 1.59 ERA in 26 appearances for the Vero Beach Dodgers in 2001, but his ERA was 5.14 in 12 games for the AA Jacksonville Suns. Fischer left the Dodgers system after that season, and he was 1-3 with a 5.08 ERA for the Brockton Rox in 2003. It was his last season.

Overall, Fischer was 7-8 with a 4.01 ERA in 71 games in 5 seasons as a professional player.
