Biographical Information[edit]

Mike Brumley played for the US team that won Bronze in the 1982 Amateur World Series.

After his major league career, Brumley became a manager in the Arizona Diamondbacks (1998-1999) and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2001-2004) minor league systems. He was a minor league bunting instructor for the Chicago White Sox in 2000. From 2005 to 2007 he was the minor league field coordinator for the Texas Rangers. Brumley returned to the field to manage the Ogden Raptors in 2008. In 2010, he became the third base coach of the Seattle Mariners. In 2014, he was named assistant hitting coach of the Chicago Cubs.

He is the son of Mike Brumley, a former catcher in the major leagues.
