Biographical Information

Pitcher Matt Carasiti made his major league debut with the Colorado Rockies towards the end of the 2016 season. In 19 games, he went 1-0 but with a bloated 9.19 ERA, the result of giving up 25 hits and 11 walks in 15 2/3 innings. On June 26, 2017, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs in return for fellow reliever Zac Rosscup. He spent 2018 with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of NPB, going 7-3 with a 4.18 ERA, then re-surfaced for 11 games with the Seattle Mariners in 2019, lowering his career ERA to 7.46. Carasiti appeared in major league games in both 2023 and 2024 for the Rockies. Overall, in 53 major league games, Carasite had a 2-2 record with 1 save and a 7.41 ERA.

Carasiti became a pitching coach for the Everett AquaSox in 2025. He then moved to the New York Mets' chain as pitching coach of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in 2026.
