Biographical Information

Masashi Matsuda was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 7th round of the 1999 NPB draft, and he was 6-for-26 in 2000. He went 3-for-13 in 2001, and he only got 2 hits in 15 at-bats in 2002. The Tigers then traded him to the Daiei Hawks for Masahiro Sakumoto, and he played 56 games with a .127/.173/.169 batting line. He was then released, and the Kintetsu Buffaloes signed him. However, Matsuda only played 3 games for the top team in 2004, and he announced his retirement.
