MLB Draft League
The MLB Draft League is a summer collegiate league that was created by Major League Baseball and Prep Baseball Report. The league serves as a showcase for top draft-eligible prospects leading up to each summer's Major League Baseball amateur draft. The league's original six teams had all lost their MLB affiliations when the minor leagues were reorganized in 2021.
After the 2025 season, the Frederick Keys regained their affiliation, moving to the South Atlantic League where they took the place of the Aberdeen IronBirds as the Class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, with Abderdeen taking Frederick's former spot in the Draft League.
It features a mixed amateur-professional structure. The first half of the campaign is dedicated to college players, while during the second half, teams can bring aboard professional players that are no longer draft eligible.
