Biographical Information[edit]

Louis Patrick has been on the Austrian national team.

In the 2024 U18 European Championship, he was 1-for-5 with 3 walks and allowed 8 runs (all earned) in 4 innings. [1] Debuting in the Austrian Bundesliga in 2025, he was 2-3 with two saves and a 7.36 ERA for the Vienna Metrostars and hit .450/.476/.500 in 12 games. He had qualified, he would have ranked third in average. [2] He was 2-for-11 with a walk and a run for Vienna in the 2025 European Cup and yielded two runs (one earned) in three innings. [3] Making Austria's team for the 2025 European Championship, the teenager made three brief appearances. He closed out their 26-2 romp of Hungary, relieving Alexander Kienberger and giving up a Graeham Luttor single before retiring Anthony Temesvary to end it. Replacing Klaus Scheicher with a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the 7th against defending champion Spain with one out and two on, he walked Carlos Colmenarez, gave up a two-run single to Gabriel Lino and a RBI single to Frank Hernández. Nico Schadler came in and let in the last run to make it a mercy rule loss. In their historic first-ever win over France, he relieved Josh Topper with a 2-1 deficit in the 7th, one aboard and two out. He walked Ernesto Martínez Jr. on four pitches and Schadler succeeded him; Austria rallied for a 6-3 victory. Austria finished 9th, their best European Championship to that point. Only Topper pitched more games for them. [4]
