Biographical Information[edit]
Kyle Marman has pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.
Marman was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 13th round of the 2018 Amateur Draft, and he was 5-4 with a 3.33 ERA for the Lake County Captains in his first season. After COVID-19 shut down the minors, Marman was promoted to the AA Akron RubberDucks and he went 4-0 with a 2.85 ERA there in 2021. He was 5-2 with 4 saves and a 4.41 ERA in 2022, and he also allowed 3 runs in 3 1/3 innings for the AAA Columbus Clippers. Marman then had a 4.91 ERA in 4 games for the Clippers in 2023, and he was released in August. He notched 19 saves with a 2.30 ERA in 41 relief outings for the Sioux City Explorers in 2024, finishing third in the American Association in saves (behind Joey Marciano and Charlie Hasty. He went 8-3 with a 4.07 ERA as a starter in 2025, tying for 8th in wins and finishing second with 140 strikeouts (behind Julian Garcia). He pitched one game for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in the winter, and the Rakuten Monkeys signed him in 2026.
